The Chelsea hat-trick ball prankster has struck again, but this time with a twist.

Mauricio Pochettino's side thrashed relegation-threatened Everton on Monday night, firing in a mammoth six goals and star man Cole Palmer bagging four in the process.

As a result, Palmer took home his second match ball in three Premier League games, with his first coming following his hat-trick in the last-ditch 4-3 win over Manchester United.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed someone on the wind up in the Chelsea camp had written 's*** player' on that match ball.

Now, supporters on social media have spotted they've done it once again, but with a different, yet still recognisable, cheeky dig.

A snap on Instagram of Palmer with one of Chelsea physios shows the phrase 'I told u you are s*** player' squiggled on the match ball in marker pen.

Whoever the culprit is, they're obviously just having a joke with their teammate, who is now joint-top scorer in the Premier League alongside Erling Haaland on 20 goals.

The 21-year-old has now netted 25 goals and bagged 13 assists in 41 games in all competitions in his debut season at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea's incredible performance was slightly soured by Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson arguing over who would take their penalty.

Palmer, who has a perfect record from the spot with nine out of nine spot-kicks scored, had to battle with his teammates to be able to take it.

"Other players wanted to take it, but I am the penalty taker and I wanted to take it," he told Sky Sports. "I think we are showing everyone is wanting to take responsibility it may be a bit over the top, but everyone wants to win – we are laughing and joking about it."

Chelsea's emphatic win takes them just three points off the top six.
