Conor McGregor has taken his trash-talking with Khabib Nurmagomedov too far in the eyes of some fans.

On Thursday evening, the former dual-weight UFC champion shared several pictures of him posing with a muzzled bear, alongside a message aimed at his nemesis and Joe Rogan.

“Hey, Joe Rogan. I kidnapped Khabib’s bear and put it in a tutu and shot it in the back of the head and he still won’t come back,” McGregor captioned the post.

The Russian MMA star famously wrestled with bears as a youngster.

It ultimately helped him become the most dominant wrestler in UFC history as he put together a perfect 29-0, which includes a submission win over McGregor in 2018.

A rematch never took place as Nurmagomedov retired two years later.

‘Notorious’ has sporadically taken shots at him on social media ever since, but his decision to include Rogan in his latest mocking post is due to a much newer beef.

Rogan recently told McGregor to ‘shut the f*** up’ after he went on record to say that acting is harder than MMA before his movie debut's release.

The 56-year-old brought up Nurmagomedov while responding to McGregor’s ‘crazy’ claim about acting.

“Listen to me, that's not true,” Rogan said on a recent episode of his podcast.

“That's not true, even for him. Act in Road House or fight Khabib [Nurmagomedov] again? Shut the f*** up, that's crazy talk, it's crazy talk.

"He broke his f****** leg in a fight. That's harder. That's way harder than f****** acting."

Regardless of the reason for his post, some fans were fuming about the fact he hired an animal, which is supposed to be wild, to respond to Rogan’s comments.

One person commented: "Conor, the bear doesn't enjoy this. It's animal abuse."

Another said: "That bear looks so sad."

A third person added: “I’d pay money to see that bear get loose.”

Someone else wrote: “I like you Conor .. But from the look on the bear's face, he looks more "scared" than anything else… stop.”

McGregor quickly realised his error and deleted all pictures of the bear from his social media – now attention can return to his upcoming comeback bout.

The 35-year-old hasn’t fought since breaking his leg three years ago but is confident he will face lightweight contender Michael Chandler this summer.

Chandler recently claimed an ‘official announcement’ is coming soon, and now fans are just waiting for UFC CEO Dana White to finally confirm McGregor’s next fight date.
