It took Draymond Green all of four minutes to get ejected from the Warriors' matchup with the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

Famously hot-headed Green picked up a pair of technical fouls and got himself ejected in the first quarter of the contest, much to the dismay of teammate Steph Curry who looked visibly distraught.

Cameras panned to Curry looking utterly dejected and fighting back tears as he shook his head in frustration.

However, the two-time MVP used those frustrations to propel the Dubs to a gritty 101-93 win.

He hit a dagger step-back three with 33.8 seconds left to ice the game before pulling out his signature 'night night' celebration as he ran down the court.

A timeout was subsequently called and Curry's emotions got the best of him as he kicked a chair on the sidelines.

After the game, Curry shared his thoughts on Green's concerning behaviour and made it clear his teammate needs to find a way to stay on the court.

"All I'll say is we need him. He knows that. We all know that," Steph told reporters.

"So whatever it takes for him to be on the floor and available, that's what's gotta happen. Especially at this part of the year. Tough way to start the game, but I am extremely proud of every single person that stepped foot on the floor tonight and responded the way that they did."

Speaking about kicking the chairs, the four-time champion added: "I was letting out a little steam.

"Nothing is guaranteed in this league. The way that we went out and competed ... the way the season is going, maybe it's the way you see how your back is against the wall.

"I don't know how many people would have picked us in this kind of game -- back-to-back setting, down two starters -- and we found a way to fight to get a win."

Green was ejected from the game early on after receiving back-to-back technicals for arguing a foul call with official Ray Acosta.

Draymond's antics this year have become a major issue for the Warriors and has seen him miss significant action through suspensions.

Earlier in the season he missed 12 games for hitting Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the face during a game in December.

A month before that, he was suspended for five games for putting Minnesota center Rudy Gobert in a headlock.

Green's physicality and hard-man leadership have often been viewed as a positive for the Warriors dynasty but this season it is actively hurting his team.

Wednesday night's ejection was his fourth of the season, a career-high, and he became the first player to be tossed out at least four times in a season since Kevin Durant was ejected five times in 2017-18.

"Too bad. It was unfortunate," Kerr said after Green's latest misstep.

"He deserved it. He'll bounce back."

Golden State managed to rally and beat Orlando on Wednesday but the victory doesn't hide the fact it's been a turbulent season for the San Francisco-based team.

Kerr's team is 38-34 this season and just holding onto the 10th seed in the Western Conference.

But they have a resurgent Houston Rockets team, who have won ten straight, breathing down their necks.

The Rockets are now just one game behind the Warriors in the battle for the West's final play-in tournament spot.

It would be a catastrophe for Golden State if Houston were to catch them during the final stretch of the regular season and bump them out of the postseason.

In order to prevent that from happening, Green quickly needs to find a way to keep a lid on his emotions and stay on the floor more often than he currently is.
